What Are The Rights Of Women In Islam?

In Islam, everyone is responsible for his actions and have to answer in front of God. Muslims believe in a divine essence for modesty that the virtue reflected in the behavior of men and women.  Overall interpretations made by scholars in some conservative minority cultures, for example, restrictions on women’s driving prohibition that reflect the influence of these traditional cultures. Woman also preferable for performing their Hajj and Umrah Obligation.

Islam truly honored the woman. As a mother, she must be obeyed and well treated. The satisfaction of a woman is inextricably linked to Allah. It is said that the mother is the shortest way to reach paradise. His rights over the child are higher than those of the father. Mainly it is recommended by Islam to take care of his elderly and weak mother. All these recommendations are included in many texts in the Quran and Sunnah.

After Islam, a woman receives their proper rights; a woman has rights to fulfill their spiritual duties with their mahram. Here are some over aspects of a woman in our society:

  1. Religious aspect

The Quran clearly states that men and women have the same human nature. Both genders received the divine breath that gave them dignity. There are many additional reasons to love and appreciate women and not punishment in a single fault. The man and the woman have equal responsibilities, and both face the consequences for the decisions of their moral actions. The Quran indicates only superiority is piety and righteousness.

  1. Economic aspect

Islamic law provides safety for women’s rights before and after marriage. Women receive greater financial security rather than men. She is entitled to the full amount of her wedding gift. She has the right to keep all present or future properties and income for her safety. Additionally, she is entitled to all financial assistance during and after the marriage, regardless of her wealth. Additional fees included in case of divorce. The woman disposes of alone by the usufruct of her possible work. On the other hand, the man must maintain and provide the multiple needs of his family.

  1. Social aspect
  2. As a girl: The attitude of some parents who tend to favor their sons is seen in most of the families. It prescribes the duty to help and show kindness and justice to girls. Girls’ education is not only a right but an obligation for all Muslims. A girl has the right to accept or reject marriage proposals. Forced marriage without mutual consent is invalid according to the teachings of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH).
  3. As a wife: The opinion of Islam on marriage is expressed in the following verse of the Quran: “Among His signs, women are created only for you as a wife so that you live in peace and Allah put affection and kindness between you.
  4. As a mother: The Quran prescribes consideration to parents, especially mothers. Muslims learn that there is a paradise in the mother’s feet.
  5. As a sister: The Prophet recommended the kindness, the attention and the respect of the women because of the sister relation. Today, there is a wide gap between the ideal Islamic law and reality cultural practices.
  6. Legal and political aspects

Men and women are equal in the eye of law as well as Islamic point of view. The changes in the number of male and female witnesses in the courts are included in the Quran only in the context of financial contracts. The purpose is to establish the accuracy of the testimony, in a given setting, through which women not exposed or experienced in commercial matters.

“The perfect believer is the one who has the best behavior. The best of you are the best ones with their wives “, said by our Prophet (PBUH).

What are the conditions of wearing the veil?

The conditions for the veil to be legally valid just because of the following reasons:

  • The veil must cover the entire body of the woman including the face.
  • The veil should not be tight, because this makes appear the forms of the body of the woman.
  • It must not be transparent, because transparency denudes the woman instead of covering her.
  • It must not bear any resemblance to the clothes of the disbelievers because the prophet said: “Whoever imitates a people, is one of them.”
  • It must not have any resemblance to the clothes of men.
  • It must not be in itself an ornament or colored to attract attention. The best is that it is black.

What are the aspects of Hijab?

  1. Islam has honored the woman by prescribing to wear the hijab just for protecting her from malefactors and people’s eyes as well as to protect society from its exhibition.
  2. The hijab maintains the bond of affection between the spouses. Indeed, in a society where women display their beauty, the man is not immune to being seduced by a woman.
  3. The Muslim woman is comparable to a precious stone. So, it’s carefully preserves and protects the eyes of others.

CONCLUSION

Islam was the first culture to admit the woman’s total financial independence or to grant her codified rights for instance, she become the part of voting. Muslim women constitute roughly half of the Ummah. God, in his wisdom, did not wait for others to draw for them the plans for their liberation.

According to Abu Hurayra (R.A), a man came to the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) and said to him: O Messenger of Allah! Who is the one who deserves better than all my good company? Your mother, then who? Your mother, then who? Your mother, then who? Your father “

In Islam, everyone is responsible for his actions and will answer to God. Muslims make an act of Islam not by blind faith, but by accepting the coherence of all the principles of God in the Quran, and the example of the prophet, because we must restore the problem in this context and no other.

Basic Mistakes That Is Important To Avoid On The Arafat’s Day

The day of Arafat is the ninth day of Dhu al-Hijjah. It is the day before the Eid al-Adha, also it’s symbolizes the day of the last judgment and recalls our meeting with Allah. It’s a blessed day; Allah Almighty swore by this day in the Quran because of its extreme benefits. Some pilgrims make mistakes on Arafat’s day. Here are six basic errors mention that is helpful for not committed mistakes:

First: Pilgrimage Didn’t Remember their Boundaries

Some pilgrims are stationed outside the Arafat’s limits, although they are bounded by visible signs and efforts that are being made to sensitize them. It is just because of their eagerness and their desire to leave Arafat at the earliest; they neglect this fundamental pillar.

 Second: Climb the Mountain

Some pilgrims strive to climb the hill, rubbing their bodies against rocks and pebbles for making the pilgrimage believe that they are in the circle of particular virtues. It is one of the innovations that must be avoided. Focus on correctly fulfilling the spiritual duties within Arafat’s boundaries.

Third: Spending the Day while Laughing

Many pilgrims spend their time on Arafat’s day while laughing, having fun and chatting needlessly, instead of calling Allah Almighty. It’s essential to invoking and asking for His forgiveness in this solemn place.

 Fourth: Unfollow the Rules

Some pilgrims during their invocations, leaving the Qibla behind them, whether it’s right or left. Now the Sunnah consists in placing one point, and pilgrimage consider the right place that is between the mount and the Qibla. If this is not possible because of the great affluence, then, in this case, the Sunna is to face the Qibla at the time of the invocation, even if the mountain is not in front of us.

 Fifth: Living Before Sunset

Some pilgrims leave Arafat before sunset, which is not allowed. It is the responsibility of the pilgrim not to go, Arafat, before the sun sets, following the example of the Prophet (PBUH), said while performing the rites of the pilgrimage:  “Learn from me your rites.”

Sixth: Neglecting the Talbiya

Some pilgrims rush out at Arafat day and overlook the Talbiya. All their concern is to reach Mouzdalifa as soon as possible. It is better for the pilgrim to walk with calm and dignity. Let the hasten only where it is necessary to accelerate and always consider the Talbiya on his lips.

Pillars Of Islam Are Obligations On All Muslims

The “five basic pillars of religion Islam” are religious obligations that provide a complete framework for every Muslim’s life. In which Namaz is an obligation that is performed regularly and all the pillars of Islam helps in attaining the personal spiritual growth, self- abstain and self-restraint, to care for the poor, self-discipline, and sacrifice. All the pillars of Islam provide complete structure and hold something steadily in place. They provide support, and all Muslims must be present for the framework to balance perfect and steadily.

Islamic teachings about the Five Basic Pillars of Islam are found in the Hadith and Quran. Let us discuss all the pillars.

SHAHAADAH

The first and the most important act of worship that every Muslims has to do is a declaration and confirmation of faith, well known as the shahaadah. The literal meaning of word shahaadah is “to bear witness,” so by professing and admitting faith verbally; a person is bearing witness to the truth of the message of Islam and it is the most fundamental teachings. The shahaadah is repeated several times by Muslims each day, both individually and also in daily namaz, and it is the most frequently-written phrase in Arabic calligraphy.

Non-Muslims who want to accept Islam and to convert to religion Islam do so by simply reciting and proclaiming the shahaadah aloud, preferably in front witnesses. Before die, Muslims also wish to say these words od shahaadah.

SALAAT OR NAMAZ

When a Muslim stands before the ALLAH Almighty with his arms folded, every day five times, praises ALLAH and kneels down before Him and touches the floor or ground with his forehead for doing Sajdah and makes earnest supplications to ALLAH Almighty, that person becomes worthy of His beneficence and love, his heart attains great enlightenment and his life becomes more pure from sins.

Every day namaz is a touchstone in every Muslim’s life. In religion Islam, all worships are only performed for ALLAH Almighty alone, so as namaz. Namaz can be performed in Masjid with congregation and also at offices, educational institutes, homes etc. Muslims, from their hectic and busy routine take time out for performing five times namaz each day to direct their hearts towards ALLAH Almighty. The movements and postures of namaz include standing; sitting, bowing, and prostrating these all positions have also many medical benefits. Words of namaz include verses from the Quran, words of praise, gratefulness and thanks to ALLAH Almighty and also personal supplications.

Muslims who avoid and neglect the Namaz and do nothing to perform it should imagine that how they are going to face all the things on the Day of Resurrection. So being a Muslim we should not miss any namaz but we should always try to perform all namaz.

ZAKAT (OBLIGATORY CHARITY)

In the Holy Quran, giving charity or Zakaat to the poor and needy peoples is often mentioned hand-in-hand with daily obligatory namaz. Zakaat is central to core belief of Muslims that each and everything that we have comes from ALLAH Almighty, and is not to hoard neither its our property. We should always feel blessed for each and everything we have, and must be willing to give and share with those people who are less fortunate. Charity in Islam at any time is recommended, but for zakaat there is a set percentage required for those people who reach a certain minimum net worth that are described in Islam.

Zakah is a great system that helps the poor people in need. We can share some amount of our money for helping others instead of wasting it on useless activities and things that we really do not need. When the time of paying Zakat comes, we can give money to poor and needy Muslim families, who could spend that money for fulfilling their basic necessities, for instance. The happiness that a person would get from doing this would be much sweeter much greater than the enjoyment obtained from spending their money on unimportant or useless things. Zakat is the system ALLAH Almighty in which we collect our money, put it together and utilize our money to help poor and needy.

SAWM OR ROZA

Muslims observe fasting as a way to purify their soul, heart, mind, and body. In religion Islam, fasting helps us to feel about those who are less fortunate, helps us to organize our lives, and it also brings us closer to ALLAH Almighty in strengthened faith. Muslims fast throughout the Holy month of Ramadan; all physical and mental able Muslims must fast during the month of Holy Ramadan every year. The fast lasts from dawn to sunset for the whole month, during which time period Muslims abstains themselves from eating or drinking and all prohibited things. Muslims try to spend their most of the time in doing additional worship, abstain and refrain from gossip and bad talk, and share in charity and in friendship with others. Fast in Islam starts from fajr and all Muslims break the fast at Maghrib.

HAJJ (OBLIGATORY PILGRIMAGE)

Hajj is the annual pilgrimage that is obligatory to perform on every financial and physical able Muslims. Unlike the other “pillars” of religion Islam, the pilgrimage Hajj is obligatory to be done once in a lifetime. The Hajj pilgrimage is performed in the month of Zil-Hajj and it lasts for several days, and is only required to perform only on those Muslims who are financially and physically able to make the sacred journey.
